Marilyn Peake is delighted to have had a number of her submissions published in Book: The Sequel, a wonderfully inventive project of The Perseus Books Group. She’s honored to be published in the same book as so many talented contributors, including Douglas Clegg and Carl Lennertz, VP, Retail
Marketing, HarperCollins.
In this project, authors submitted funny first lines and titles for fictional sequels to classic books, and then a book of those lines was published in as many book formats as possible within 48 hours at Book Expo America 2009.
Book: The Sequel has received some great media coverage, including mention in The New York Times. It’s also being serialized in The Daily Beast, and Marilyn was delighted to discover one of her lines posted there:
